We conducted 30 interviews with patients and caregivers during March - July 2023. An interview guide was developed based on the COM-B (capability, opportunity, motivation-behavior) behavior change framework. All interviews were conducted in person, over the phone, or via Zoom, and recorded using a handheld recorder. Demographic data was collected after the interview and documented in RedCap. All interviews were de-identified using a third-party company Landmark Associates INC, and checked by staff to ensure all transcripts contained no identifiable information. Transcripts were coded using Lumivero (NVIvo software) by two coders trained in inductive coding. The constant comparative method was used for the first five transcripts by having each coder transcribe and compare the results. Inter-rater reliability (kappa >0.75 and >95% agreement for each code) was reached after the first five transcripts, the remaining 25 transcripts were coded separately by one coder. Coders discussed any questions, and a third team member was consulted if consensus was not reached. We thematically analyzed written transcripts of audio-recorded interviews using inductive and deductive coding techniques. We used the following software to obtain the results: Handheld recorder, Landmark Associates INC, Zoom, REDCap, and Lumivero (NVIvo software).
